Epic Moblie Safari Trip in Botswana We just returned from an incredible mobile safari with Lucas Tshupo, the owner of Wild for Game Safaris. As wildlife photographers, we have spent a lot of time in Africa. Our 10-day safari with Lucas was one of the best trips ever! Lucas is also an accomplished photographer, so he understands the importance of positioning the vehicle for the best light. He is an expert at tracking and locating animals, and he shared his expertise with us, teaching us what to look for in the bush. Perhaps what we liked most about our time with Lucas was his passion for all aspects of the bush and his deep respect for the wildlife that inhabits this area. He never wanted to compromise any animal's welfare just to get a photograph, so our time with wildlife was intimate yet deeply respectful. We loved being in the camp with no other people. Lucas has an incredible team that only enhanced our mobile experience. The chef, Mosa, was simply amazing. The food was superb, and we were amazed that he baked fresh bread every day and prepared healthy, delicious meals. Matengu (MT) and Chaz never seemed to rest and made sure we had warm shower water, fresh water to fill our bottles, and hot water bottles tucked into our beds each night. These three men made our time in camp very special and were so much fun to be around. We highly recommend taking a trip with Wild for Game Safaris. There is something extraordinary about sleeping in a tent in the bush and hearing elephants trumpeting, lions roaring, and, of course, hyenas' vocalizations. We spent 8 nights on a mobile camping safari from Maun to Kasane with Wild for Game Safaris, owned by Lucas Shupo. Sleeping in tents in unfenced campsites deep in the wild heart of Botswana, surrounded by the night sounds of the bush—with lions roaring, elephants trumpeting, and hyenas laughing—was truly thrilling. We crossed the diverse ecosystems of the Okavango, from the rich wildlife of the Moremi Game Reserve to the wetlands of the Khwai Concession and the more arid landscapes of Savuti. Every single day brought spectacular sightings: leopards, cheetahs, lions, elephants, hyenas, and African wild dogs. The team was really professional and exceeded all our expectations: • Our Guide, Owen: Extremely knowledgeable, professional, and passionate. He knew how to read every single track on the ground and always positioned the vehicle perfectly for photographing and observing the animals, while always ensuring our safety and sharing fascinating insights about the ecosystem. • The Chef, Mr. P, and the Food: Outstanding quality. It is unbelievable how the chef managed to prepare such high-quality meals using only a campfire. From fresh bread, muffins, and cakes baked daily in a bush oven to exquisite dinners under the stars, the food exceeded every expectation. • The Camp Staff, Empty and Chack: Incredibly hardworking, attentive, and warm. They anticipated our every need always with a smile, making us feel completely looked after in the middle of nowhere. Thanks to Lucas for the flawless logistical organization: the camp was efficiently moved and set up while we were out on safari for the entire day. Great attention was paid to cleanliness and details. Our Meru-style tents, featuring real and comfortable beds, were meticulously prepared with fresh linens every two days. Returning from a game drive to find a spotless tent, fresh towels, and a hot bucket shower was pure comfort. If you are looking for a unique experience, this mobile safari offers the perfect balance between adventure and modern comfort. You are completely immersed in the wild African nature, but with lodge-quality service, excellent hygiene, and outstanding hospitality. Top notch safari in Botswana Wild for Game Safaris was an awesome choice! Our guide Chris made sure we saw every animal on our list & was very knowledgeable in answering all of our questions regarding the wildlife,plants and country in general. MD our chef made 5 star meals with desserts that were out of this world, Matu always greeted us with a smile & provided excellent meal service and last but not least McDonald made sure we had all the comforts of home from our turndown service to wake up calls,hot water bottles in our bed at night! A Mobile tent safari is the only way to experience Africa! We heard lions,hippos,elephants & hyenas at night which was magical! Absolutely amazing experience. Already planning to go back again. Beyond wildlife tracking and sightings, we highly recommend the mobile tented camps experience. Travel in a super-equipped and comfortable land cruiser, feeling like you’re at home in cosy tents with everything prepared. Musa, the chef, baked daily bread and muffins in an aluminium box over charcoal – a real treat! We’re incredibly grateful for this dream family adventure. Private Safari - Exceptional Thank you Wild for Game Safaris, my son (Tom) & I had the most wonderful time. The team that looked after us, Owen (Guide), Mr P (Chef), 2 Meter & Festus (Camp Hand) are the best. So much I could say, but in summary: Owen's expertise as a guide was extraordinary, his ability to track and ceaseless energy to find wildlife is without boundaries. We were interested to see everything from the smallest dwarf mongoose & birds to the large cats, and we saw it all. Mr P ensured I returned to Australia a couple of kilos heavier. Preparing warm porridge and homemade bread for breakfast, 2 course lunch and 3 course dinner every day was something to look forward to. Always with a smile and passion to please. 2 Meter and Festus, ensured every detail was delivered to the maximum, their pride shone through when daily greeting us with warm hand towels and a drink, supplying warm water for showers and hand basins, hot water bottles in our beds, as well when required getting dirty to repair vehicle issues. The crew worked together with ease and seamlessly without effort. We chose to do a Private Safari and camp to maximize the experience, we were not disappointed. In my view this is the only way to achieve the best experience, the flexibility and freedom in the Safari vehicle to have a personal rhythm and schedule to explore as you choose is paramount. Wild for Game Safaris vehicle is perfectly set up to ensure comfort and photography logistics. During the 11 days we spent approximately 95 hours in the vehicle with Owen searching for and watching wildlife. We saw everything from the small critters like Dwarf Mongoose & Birds, General Game, and the all the sort after Cats - Lion, Cheeta & Leopard. Exceptional experience Having been on many different styles of safari trips, this mobile safari was the best! Loved being so in touch with the natural beauty of the Okavango delta and Chobe regions. Lucas was our guide extraordinaire! Having been raised in the area, his knowledge of the landscape, plant life, animals and birds was amazing. We appreciated his commitment to the Botswana motto of "Quality over Quantity". He gave us the opportunity to see all the big animals AND spend time watching their behavior, including family group interactions at Wild Dog and Spotted Hyena dens, and hours spent watching lions and leopards. Lucas was also completely in tune with our desire to see the small things, whether it was plant life or birds. We were fascinated by a pair of Hamerkops building their huge nest. We added many new bird sightings to our lists. As a birder, he is exceptional. As for camp life...it was wonderful. Our support staff (Mosa, Mateng and Chucks) made sure we were comfortable and felt welcome every day. The chef, Mosa was a magician in his bush kitchen; the food was fresh and delicious. the fresh baked breads, muffins, cakes and even hamburger buns reminded us of going to the best neighborhood bakery every day. The new campsites were always set up beautifully when we returned from the many game drives, and the hot showers were always welcome. The mokoro and Chobe River boat rides added even more special moments to this incredible experience. An amazing safari in beautiful Botswana This was a wonderful 17 day safari experience for us, both having been going on safari since the early nineties! The camp team were really great, friendly and supportive, with Marks, our guide, very experienced. He went out of his way for our photography, even driving twice in the early hours to get us to a wild dog den by daybreak to photograph the 14 pups as the adults returned after a morning kill. The camps were beautiful, the food (by Pula) very good (one of us is veggie). MT and Two meters provided the wine and hot showers! Whether it's your first time on safari or you're an old hand, this team will go all out to make you proud of Botswana and its wildlife. Our 15-day adventure began on May 27th with the most welcoming gesture: the owner, Lucas, met us at our hotel to introduce our guide, Marks. We instantly felt cared for by a team that quickly became our extended Botswana family. The Ultimate Bush Experience. While the camping segment is categorized as "budget," it felt entirely like a luxury experience. Staying in tents nestled inside Moremi, Khwai, and Savuti allowed us to fall asleep to nature's soundtrack—lions roaring, hippos grunting, and elephants trumpeting. We wrapped up the trip with two wonderful nights at Bayete Lodge and a spectacular excursion to Victoria Falls. Our incredible Guide Marks is a phenomenal guide. His tracking abilities are unmatched, often spotting wildlife and major predators long before any other vehicles in the area. His knowledge is endless, and he custom-tailored every day to exactly what we wanted to see and do. Our outstanding Camp Team: The entire crew was remarkably polite and a true joy to travel with. They completely spoiled us. Chef Musa: A culinary genius who crafted spectacular lunches, 3-course dinners, and fireside snacks without a single repeat dish. Matengu: Kept us laughing with his brilliant sense of humour while providing flawless table service. Trainee Chef Modiri: Prepared delicious desserts and dishes, managed our hot showers, and kept us cozy with evening "bushbaby" hot water bottles. Our dream was completely surpassed. Lucas's profound local knowledge of all fauna & flora astounded us. He is intimately in tune with the rhythms of Botswana's natural world - able to decipher animal calls, tracks, behaviour & movements, locating mammals, birds, insects & reptiles with meticulous knowledge, patience and care for wildlife welfare. Others rushed, we waited, listened & were led into the true heart &, aesthetics of Botswana's wilderness Locally owned (which was so important for us), Wild for Game's service & logistics is 5 star authentic Africa, with incredibly comfortable accommodation (down to the hot water bottle in bed, hot showers & roomy tent locations), extensive & varied gourmet food (with bread, cakes & muffins (for morning & afternoon teas) baked daily in an ingenious ground oven) and a marvellous (and humorous) team that made us feel totally safe and special. At the end of every safari in their super comfortable new vehicles we were greeted with silver tray drinks & fireside snacks - all we could eat & drink, and more. Such a privilege to have shared 8 days with this dedicated team of locals - and have the minutiae of African life truly laid bare for us. I had the absolute pleasure of experiencing a truly exceptional tour with Lucas and his team in April. It was already my second tour with Wild for Game Safaris, and once again, it exceeded all my expectations in every possible way. The wildlife sightings were simply breathtaking. Lucas demonstrated remarkable skill and expertise in tracking, reading signs, and finding animals, guiding us to unforgettable encounters. We were always given plenty of time and space to quietly observe and fully appreciate these magical moments in nature. Throughout the entire tour, Lucas and his wonderful team took outstanding care of us. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, and nothing was ever missing. The team’s warmth, enthusiasm, and constant good spirits made the experience even more special, and we were truly spoiled with delicious meals. Title: A Dream Come True in Botswana—Our Wild for Game Safari!Our 15-day safari with Wild for Game starting May 27th was a dream come true. From day one, the personal touch was incredible. The owner, Lucas, met us at our hotel to introduce us to our guide, Marks. From that moment on, we felt like part of an extended Botswana family. Luxury in the Bush Wild for Game labels the camping portion of this trip as "budget," but the experience felt totally luxurious. We moved from Moremi to Khwai and Savuti, staying in tents right inside the reserves. Falling asleep to the sounds of lions roaring, hippos grunting, and elephants trumpeting was unforgettable. We ended our spectacular journey by having an amazing boat trip down the Chobe Rivers seeing elephants swimming and hippos sunbathing, and ending with a comfortable two-night stay at Bayete Lodge, which included an incredible trip to Victoria Falls. World-Class Camp CrewThe entire team was incredibly polite and an absolute pleasure to be with. Our guide Marks An Unmatched guiding experience Marks is an extraordinary guide whose tracking skills are second to none. He consistently spotted animals and predators before any other guides in the area. His knowledge of the wildlife is absolutely unparalleled. Whatever we wanted to see or do, we simply told Marks and he arranged it all seamlessly. The hosting team pampered us completely: Musa (Chef): Cooked amazing lunches, mind-blowing 3-course meals in the evening, and fantastic cakes and snacks completely over an open fire without ever repeating a dish. Matengu: Had a brilliant sense of humour and looked after us beautifully during every single mealtime with top-tier service. The welcome of iced tea after early morning drive was fantastic and was well needed. Modiri (Trainee Chef): Cooked some wonderful dishes and tasty desserts, kept our shower water perfectly hot, and surprised us with welcoming hot water bottles ("bushbabies") for the chilly night's. My partner and I recently returned from a private safari trip in Botswana (May 2026) organized by 'Wild for Games', and it absolutely blew us away. We wanted to truly immerse ourselves in the wildlife, so we opted for a private tented camping safari to have ultimate freedom and flexibility. It was the best decision we could have made. Our guide, Marks, was absolutely top-notch! Thanks to his incredible tracking skills and deep knowledge, we saw every single animal we hoped for, and from amazingly close range. We were lucky enough to admire lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos, leopards, water buffaloes, cheetahs, zebras, wild dogs, hyenas, impalas, warthogs, and a breathtaking variety of birds. Marks had a perfect sense of timing; he knew exactly when to share fascinating insights and when to just let us enjoy the stunning moments in peaceful silence. The camping side of things was incredibly well-organized and surprisingly luxurious. We were looked after by a fantastic camp team who pampered us from start to finish. It is genuinely mind-blowing what delicious meals they managed to whip up for us right in the middle of the savannah! To get the full Botswana experience, we explored the landscape by land, water, and air: - Game drives for the classic, close-up wildlife viewing. - Mokoro (traditional canoe) trips for a peaceful perspective from the water. - A helicopter flight for a jaw-dropping view from above. We concluded this epic journey with a visit to the majestic Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe—the perfect ending to a flawless trip. A huge thank you to Lucas and his entire team. From the initial planning to the final day, they were incredibly helpful, meticulously organized, and made sure our entire journey was completely carefree. The best safari experiences our family ever had. We didn’t expect so professional team, so good experience from first day when Lucas come and greet us at airport Till last day when Max left us on day we go back from our trip. Botswana have a lot to ofer, wild life landscapes culture, everywhere our guide Max took us was something amazing to see he was so good at wild animals tracking. Our family will always recommend Lucas company, actually we already decide to go again. Tailored safaris are really good as our family could enjoy all experience as it was only us in car no others expect our Guide, who do everything to make us amazed. 11 days is perfect for this kind of safari, we enjoy it very much, with all professional way Lucas team take care of us was amazing, obviously not everyone can enjoy it as you need to sleep in tents  take shower in nature but for us it was one of the most amazing experience in our life, In our opinion price was much better then travel companies for experience Lucas give us, and after all the way from Maun to Kasane Lucas book us very comfortable Lodge for us to enjoy rest of ours stay. Our Guide Max stay with us till end as well he went with us to Victoria falls which was very nice and professional.
